Auto FAQs

Always available to answer questions

Will you come to me or do I need to bring my vehicle in?

Both mobile and in-shop services are available.

How quickly can it be fixed?

In most cases, services can be completed the same day you call. Vos Glass customizes the best remedy for each auto glass customer’s problem. Safe, quality installations require adequate time and controlled conditions. After consulting with you, the service writers at Vos Glass will develop a safe, convenient solution.

Why is “OE” Original Equipment Glass important?

Our trained, experienced auto glass technicians ensure proper installation, and use state-of-the-art tools and the highest quality original equipment glass. Original equipment glass assures you of the same quality, fit and performance as the glass used by the automobile manufacturer.

Do you offer or accept coupons? How do companies that offer coupons make a reasonable profit without skimping on quality, safety and service?

Choose your auto glass replacement company because they provide the best VALUE, not because you have a coupon. If you are considering using a coupon for your insurance deductible, ask yourself these questions:

  • Is the auto glass company that's offering high discount coupon padding the invoice to your insurance company, or are its prices inflated to support the large discount?
  • What is the price? You should know, even if you will not be paying the invoices directly. Ask for a copy of the work order with the price on it. Ask how much your insurance company will be paying on your behalf. (Inflated invoices drive insurance costs up.)
  • What brand of glass will be installed. Is it OE glass? Is it the same brand used by the maker of the vehicle?

Vos Glass considers each job individually, reviews all necessary cost considerations, and then determines if any further discount could be extended to your deductible. You don’t need a coupon.

Will you work with my insurance company?

Vos Glass has worked with all major insurance companies for over 30 years. Claims processing procedures vary from insurance company to insurance company, and are in a constant state of change. We make every effort to ensure that our claims processing procedures are up to date. Electronic Data Processing is done with several major insurance companies. Claims information is both received and invoiced electronically at Vos Glass. We want to deliver an efficient, convenient experience for you and your insurance company.

My window was chipped by a stone. Can you repair it?

Chips can often be repaired, making a full windshield replacement unnecessary. For your safety, we follow industry guidelines for quality. No repairs can be made to damage larger than dime-sized, the driver’s side wiper area, or the passenger's side critical vision area.

You say that you do quality auto glass installations. What does that mean?

Our auto glass installations meet federal motor vehicle safety standards (FMVSS 212 & 216) pertaining to crash and rollover testing. By meeting these standards, windshields act as a “safety net” to reduce occupant ejection during a crash. Quality installations require trained, experienced technicians using state-of-the-art equipment and tools along with the highest quality materials, including original equipment glass and recommended urethane adhesives.

Why are quality installations important?

Auto glass is a structural part of today’s automobiles, and improper installation can result in injuries to drivers and passengers. Like seat belts, windshields are designed to keep occupants in the vehicle in the event of an accident. Most safety studies show that ejection of the driver or passengers from the vehicle during an accident increases the chance of injury or death. An improperly installed windshield can also render an air bag ineffective.
